Elizabeth "Betty" Lombardi (nee Whyte), 79, of Toms River, N.J., passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011. The funeral services are Saturday, 9 a.m. from Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., N.J. 07009. The Funeral Mass is 9:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Cedar Grove, N.J. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. She moved to the U.S.A., settling in Belleville, N.J., for many years and moved to Toms River, N.J., in 1996. She was the beloved wife of Wilson "Bill" Lombardi; devoted mother of Cynthia DaRin and her husband, Thomas, Diane DiCamillo and her husband, Edward, and Sandra O'Brien and her late husband, Michael; cherished grandmother of Gia, Brianna, Brandon, Alexandria, and Jenna, and loving sister of Jane Cherone, Catherine Whyte and the late Margaret.
