CAMPBELL, Elizabeth "Bessie", At the St. Catharines General Hospital on Monday, August 4, 2003 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late F/O James C. Campbell, R.C.A.F (1944). Dear aunt of Nancy and John Cushing of St. Catharines, Bob and Sue Dixon of Fonthill, Bill and Wendy Wight of Port Carling. Also survived by much-loved great-nieces and nephews Christopher (Lynne) and Jennifer Cushing, Jeffrey (Amy) and Matthew Dixon, Bridget and Philip Wight and great-great-nieces Zoe Cushing and Paige Dixon. Dear sister-in-law of George (Margaret) Campbell of Fonthill and their family and a niece Gina Boccioletti of St. Catharines. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Isabella Whyte, brother Jimmie, sisters Jean Dixon, Isabel Wight and Margaret W hyte. Bessie was a long time friend of Ann Cook of St. Catharines and the late Frank Doherty (1998). Bessie was a life-long member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Thorold, having been a member of the Senior Choir for over sixty years and co-dire ctor of the Church's Junior Choirs for many years, a charter member of the Prima Pax Club and an adherent of West St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, St. Catharines. Bessie was a real sports fan - having been a long time member of Lookout Point Golf Cl ub and was a staunch supporter of her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. She was employed by the Ontario Paper Company Limited for thirty-four years, retiring in 1981, and a member of their Quarter Century Club. The family will receive th eir friends at the KARL A. HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. L. Paul Shobridge officiating. Cremation w ith Inurnment Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines.
