EXTON, Pa. -- Elizabeth W. Fonda, 77, died Aug. 14, 2008, at Jenner's Pond in West Grove. She was born in Philadelphia, Oct. 9, 1930, to Edwin and Katherine Washburn. She was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and attended Green Mountain College. She worked as a secretary to the vice president of Smith Kline & French before marrying Donald J. Fonda on April 10, 1954. Together they raised three sons with her focus and love being centered on her home and children. She was a member of Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, and Paoli Presbyterian Church for many years. Family members include her husband of 54 years, Donald J. Fonda of Exton; three sons, Donald Jay Fonda, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Dwight David Fonda, of Downingtown, and Scott W. Fonda of Exton; and five grandchildren. SERVICES: Interment was held in West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Mauger Givnish Funeral Home, Malvern, Pa.
