She was born September 24, 1923 in Jackson, Tenn., to Levi and Melissa Davis. She had three sisters, Lucille Clark, Blanche Bonds, and Polkie Morrison, and three brothers, Arthur, Harold, and Haywood Davis, all whom have preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Raymond H. Thomas. She is survived by her three sons, Raymond (Ray) Harold Thomas Jr., and wife Janis, of Gilbert, Ariz., Edward (Eddie) Lee Thomas, of Joplin, Mo., and Randy Lewis Thomas of Huntington, N.Y., and step daughter Raymonia Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz., and daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Thomas, of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chimene Schwach and husband James Wright of Columbia, Mo., Lawrence Whitley-Thomas of Gilbert, Ariz, Angela (Denise) Thomas (Joly) and husband Claude of Manhattan, N.Y., and Allison Melissa Thomas of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandsons Zachary and Jacob Wright of Columbia, Mo.A visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, Mo. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11 A.M. in Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1722 N. National Ave., Springfield, Mo.
