REID, "Betty", Elizabeth (nee Smith) In loving memory of Elizabeth "Betty" Reid (nee Smith), 79 years of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site. She was born in Colmarnik, Scotland and married Keith Reid in 1969. Betty was a warbride settling in Sudbury in 1945. She was a member of the Open Door Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and picking blueberries. A great animal lover she had a great affinity for her dogs Sonner and Mercedes. Betty will be remembered as a woman who spoke her mind, was always fair and quick to give a helping hand to others. Beloved wife of Keith Reid predeceased 2003. Loving mother of Kevin Lacroix of Waterloo. Cherished daughter of Val and Annie Smith predeceased. Special mother to Liberty Sills (husband Ron) of Vancouver. Sadly missed by Dorothy Malott, Betty Nerby, Gail Condratto, Beverly Hillson, Cheryl McGurre and family. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 2 pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the SPCA or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Friends may gather in the chapel after 1:45 pm Saturday (Sept. 18/04). 9/8/2004- ID4756677 - Sudbury Star
