Elizabeth S. White, 80, of Hutchinson Island, Stuart, FL, died Oct. 12, 2012 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart, FL. She was born on May 2, 1932, in Littleton, NH, a daughter of Chester C. and Ruth S. (Holt) Kinsley. Mrs. White spent her younger years in NH, West Harwich on Cape Cod, MA and St. Petersburg, FL. After living some years in New Jersey, she lived with her family on Cape Cod, in West Harwich and in Dennisport, both on Cape Cod. In 1966 she moved to Florida, living in Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach and finally, since 2004, on Hutchinson Island near Stuart. She spent some years, during those latter times, caring for family at the Sawin family home on Sawin Hill in Albany Township, ME and in Dennisport on Cape Cod. Elizabeth had a lifelong interest in writing and art, especially of, and for, children. A gifted actress, she won the Massachusetts Junior Women's Club award as the Commonwealth's best Supporting Actress. And always she danced, and she danced. Her love for the Lord and for the Bible and for her family guided her ways. A 1950 graduate of Harwich High School, Elizabeth worked as a customer service representative for AT&T, wrote as the Harwich correspondent for the Cape Codder newspaper, worked as a secretary for the First Congregational Church in Harwich and for the Veterans Service in Harwich, and for various other firms and organizations. She also conducted Bible classes at the Helen Wilkes Hotel in West Palm Beach, FL. Prior to retirement, she was the telephone customer service supervisor for the Cushman Fruit Company in West Palm Beach, FL. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, David M. White of Stuart, FL; a son, Matthew W. White of Philadelphia, PA; a daughter, Melissa A. Pruett of South Paris, ME; a sister Janet K. Johnson of Mashpee, MA; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Heather H. Specht. Separate memorial services will be held, 12PM, Wed., Nov. 7, 2012 at the Kings Hill Inn, 56 King Hill Rd., South Paris, ME. and held at 11AM on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at the Cape Cod Bible Church, Harwich, MA. Interment will be at the Norway Pine Grove Cemetery, Main St., South Paris, ME. In lieu of flowers and/or gifts, donations may be given in her memory to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 or to the Martin County Special Olympics, c/o County Coordinator, 4400 S.E. Murray St., Stuart, FL 34994.
