RICHTER-SMITH, Elizabeth Ann "Betty", 56, of Port Richey, Fla., passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at her residence under the care of Hernando- Pasco Hospice. Born in Flushing, N.Y. on March 11, 1948, she moved to Florida from Arlington, Va. in 1991 and was Advance Party Secretary for the President Ronald Reagan White House from 1981 to 1989. Betty was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Fla. and was active in the Republican Party. Survivors include her husband of eight years, Clarence William "Bill" Smith of Port Richey, Fla.; mother, Loretta Richter of Port Richey, Fla.; three stepsons, William Smith of South Venice, Fla., Gary Smith of Spring Hill, Fla., Charles Smith of Venice, Fla.; stepdaughter, Brenda Winne of Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Martha Donaldson of Hudson, Fla., Karen Rett of Valley Stream, N.Y.; five nieces; one nephew; seven great-nieces and nephews. A Requiem Mass will be said 9:30 a.m., Friday. January 14, 2005 at Our Lady of Fatima Catho lic Church, Spring Hill, Fla., and friends may call at the funeral on 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at the Wellwood Grace Funeral Home, Hudson, Fla.
