ELIZABETH P. LEE (NEE PETERSON) FORMERLY OF LANSING, IL Elizabeth P. "Betty" Lee, nee Peterson, age 88, of Darien, formerly of Lansing, IL, and the East Side, Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Orval H. Lee; loving mother of Janet (Gregg) Lee-Endless of Acton, CA and Dr. R. Timothy Lee of Darien. Also survived by sister-in-law, Betty (Don) Lundstrom of Sevierville, TN; nieces: Pam (Greg) Nelson of Fridley, MN, Nancy (Edward) DiJoseph of Downers Grove, Kristen (Jerry) Grosskopf of Orland Park, and Roxane (Michael) Hollandsworth of Pensacola, FL; nephews: Kurt Peterson of Los Angeles, CA, Guy (Marsha) Lundstrom of Shorewood, and Ross (Laura) Lundstrom of Western Springs. Elizabeth was born in Alhambra, CA and raised on the East Side of Chicago. She was a graduate of Taylor Elementary School, James H. Bowen High School and Bryant & Stratton Business School. Betty served in the U.S. Navy WAVES, 1944-1946, stationed in Washington D.C. She was a former employee of Commonwealth Edison, an Administrative Secretary, Sunnybrook School District #171, Lansing, IL for 22 years, former member of the South Chicago Evangelical Covenant Church and member of the First United Methodist Church, Lansing, IL. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Lansing, IL, 18420 Burnham Ave., Lansing, IL.
