Elizabeth L. MorrisPoughkeepsie - Elizabeth L. Morris, 96, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie passed away in Clifton Park,NY on Friday, May 18, 2012.Born in Brooklyn,NY on February 15, 1916, she was the daughter of Clifford and Mildred Fowler Lynde. She was a graduate of Walden High School and attended Limestone College in S.C.On November 17, 1940 in Walden, Elizabeth married Ronald M. Morris. Mr. Morris predeceased her on May 14, 1989.Mrs. Morris was a former volunteer at Vassar Hospital and was a board member of M. Shwartz & Co. in Poughkeepsie.Elizabeth is survived by her son, Peter J. Morris and his wife Ann Marie of the Town of LaGrange; her daughter, Pamela M. Foley of Wilton, NY; her 5 grandchildren, Tyler Morris and his wife Karin, Brett Morris and his wife Shea, Jennifer Hoerl and her husband John, Heather Lowenthal and her husband Gary, and Megan Foley; her 6 great grandchildren, Carter Morris, Avery Morris, Olivia Morris, Sean Hoerl, Evan Hoerl and Holly Hoerl; and several nieces and nephews.
