MORRIS Elizabeth "Lisa" (nee Oppici), 89, of Park Ridge, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 6, 2013. Born and raised in West New York, NJ, she moved with her young family to Park Ridge, NJ in 1957. She was a loving, supportive, generous and proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Lisa led a full and active life. As well as being a homemaker, Lisa was employed as a bookkeeper, secretary, salesperson, nursery school teacher and credit union manager. In the community, she and her husband were among the dozen parents who founded the Park Ridge Athletic Association. She volunteered with the Cub Scouts, PTA, served on the town recreation committee and helped in a reading program for the Park Ridge first graders. Lisa was active for many years with the League of Women Voters and the Park Ridge Golden Age Club. Lisa had many interests, she was well-read, a daily NY Times crossword puzzle completer and opera lover. She loved to travel with her husband and vacation with family and she was proud of her Italian heritage. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph "Sonny" Morris in 1987, her parents August and Clementina Oppici and her sister Mary Segali. Survivors include her daughter Margaret Fitzwilliam and her husband Greg of Rockville, MD, her three sons, Joseph and his wife Linda of Glen Ridge, NJ, John and his wife Patricia of Long Valley, NJ, August (Audie) and his wife Sallie of Richmond, VA; ten grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew John, Michael, Kathleen Mammon, Rachel Seither, Emily, Robert, Steven Fitzwilliam, James Fitzwilliam, nine great-grandchildren, Jackson, Harrison, Anderson, Thomas, Taylor, Everett, Kevin Mammon, Brynn Seither, Hadley Seither. Many thanks to beloved caregivers Diane and Hope who helped provide a supportive, comfortable and dignified last few years of Lisa's life.
