MORIARTY, Elizabeth T. 92, passed into heaven on July 7, 2008, at The Springs in South Pasadena, surrounded by her family, Hospice and the caring staff. Born March 2, 1916, in Pittston, PA, the middle child of 5 siblings, Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Jeanne Simpson of Margate, FL; and preceded in death by brothers Michael, William (Fr. Leonard) and Martin (Bunny). Married in 1942, her husband James, of 52 years went before God in 1994. The greatest joy in her life was the birth of her 2 children, Dr. James Kelly Moriarty of Plainsboro, NJ (wife Patricia) and Maureen Moriarty of Gulfport, (husband Don Saylor). There are many relatives and friends, but in the final days she was especially close to Patricia and Kenny Kelleher, Bobby, Marty and Debbie, Mary Beth Kelly, and long time friends Rose Clark; her friends at Town Shores and caregiver Dottie. The care received from the staff of The Springs made her last days bearable. Elizabeth moved from Woodbridge, NJ, to Gulfport, in 2000. She was an active volunteer at Palms of Pasadena, where she was known as the Sunshine Lady because of her smile. She collected magazines on a monthly basis from doctors (thanks Sharon) and her beautician (Deborah). Her friends at Town Shores, and the staff of GEMS, and the people from Sal's in Gulfport made her golden years shine. Her children thank all who treated her with kindness and respect.
