Elizabeth McCormack, age 85, of Holly Hill, was called home to our Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. A Memorial Mass in her honor will be held Friday, August 14, 2009; 10:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL. She will be laid to her final rest in the Ocean she so loved. Elizabeth was born in New York City, New York to Daniel and Margaret Mahoney. She dedicated her talents to many different things but retired as a Librarian for the Public Education System. She and her husband came to the Daytona Beach area about 25 years ago and she was a proud member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Elizabeth was a master swimmer and will best be remembered for her love of books, reading, and the ocean. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 66 years, Thomas McCormack, Sr.; four sons: Thomas McCormack, Jr., James McCormack, Patrick McCormack, and his wife, Judith and Daniel McCormack and his wife, Carolyn; four grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
