SARATOGA SPRINGS - Elizabeth M. (Carusone) Connolly passed away Saturday morning, June 23, 2012, at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.Born July 23, 1926, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Margaret (Santa Barbara) Carusone. She worked in several local restaurants, where she met her future husband, Don. Betty was a homemaker raising her seven children. She loved to cook, bake and entertain for her family and friends. She also loved gardening and volunteering at St. Peter's School and Saratoga Hospital. Betty left us to stir the big sauce pan in the sky.In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Connolly; her sons, Michael and Brian; her sister, Celeste Bowser; and her brother, Ralph Carusone.Betty is survived by her daughters, Colleen Newman, Patricia McAuley (David) and Mary Connolly-Fabiani (Nicholas); her sons, Sean Connolly (Therese) and William Connolly (Cristina); her sister, Marie Armer of Saratoga Springs; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special nieces Barbara and Linda; and a host of other nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff at Saratoga Care Nursing Home for their care and compassion to Betty.Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at William J.
