Lee, Elizabeth E. (Betty)Binghamton: Elizabeth (Betty) Lee, 99, went to catch the next rainbow into heaven on February 14, 2012 at the Susquehanna Nursing Center. She was predeceased by her late husband, Dwight A. Lee in 2001 after 63 years of marriage. Betty was born in Vestal, NY, on November 11th, 1912. Also predeceased by her parents, Archie Downs and May Benjamin Downs; a brother, Joseph Downs; and sister, Louise Parker. She is survived by one daughter, Joyce May (Richard) Roche of Owego, NY; and one son, Marvin D. Lee of Binghamton, NY. Betty is also survived by four grandchildren, Christine (John) Clark of Kennesaw, GA, Scott (Maria) Earhardt of Damascus, Maryland, Kelly (Steve) Cwikla of Johnson City, NY and Kevin (Sheri) Lee of Endicott, NY, also eight great-grandchildren: Carol, Gabby, Audrey, Shannon, Sam, Paul, Jessica and Mykal; and two great-great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by one sister, Lillian Wozniak of Binghamton, NY. Betty was a homemaker on Travis Ave for over 63 years and was very proud of her tulips around her house. Mom, we'll miss your apple pies! The family would like to thank the staff of the Susquehanna Nursing Center for her care there these last 5 years. At her request there will be no calling hours. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
