Wilson, Elizabeth L. Pittsford, NY: Elizabeth "Betty" LaPree Wilson, formerly of Clayton and Alexandria Bay, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Daughter of the late Clarence C. and Gladys Murney LaPree. Betty was born on March 23, 1920, in Farmersville, NY. She graduated from Highland Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1943, where she worked as a nursing supervisor for six years. Betty married John E. Wilson of Rochester, NY, in 1949, and made Clayton, NY, their home for the next 37 years. For the past three years, Betty resided at Laurelwood-Highlands at Pittsford. Betty is survived by three daughters, Joan (Vincent) DiMaria of Littleton, CO, Janet (Andy) Huck of Vancouver, WA, and Jane (Scott) Hendler of Rochester, NY, two grandchildren, Michael DiMaria of Philadelphia, PA, and Cristina DiMaria of Denver, CO, by two sisters, Dorothy Sharpe, Cheektowaga, NY, and Loretta Kasowicz, Bergen, NY, two sisters-in-law, Jane LaPree of Scottsville, and Audrey Wilson Carson of Rochester, several cousins, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Wilson, who died in 2003, a sister, Audrey Krenzer, and a brother, Clifford LaPree. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 19, at 1:00 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, 3325 Winton Road South, Reverend James Grobe officiating. There will be no calling hours. Private burial will be at the Clayton Cemetery by Cummings Funeral Home, Clayton, NY. Donations may be made to the Clayton United Methodist Church, 325 John St., Clayton, NY 13624, or the Benevolent Fund-Highlands of Pittsford, 100 Hahnemann Trail, Pittsford, NY 14534. The family wishes to thank all Betty's doctors and medical staff who extended to her such wonderful care, and especially the staff and friends at Laurelwood-Highlands of Pittsford, NY, for their extraordinary care and love at this time and throughout the time Betty was a resident at Laurelwood.
