Elizabeth L. Miller, 40, died suddenly as a result of a brain aneurysm on March 18, 2012. She was born Nov. 21, 1971, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was the daughter of Sherrill Marshall Hitchings of Virginia Beach, Va. She grew up in Virginia Beach and moved to Connecticut in 1990. While raising her three sons, she earned her bachelor of arts in history from St. Joseph's College in West Hartford in 2001. In May, 2011, she earned her Juris Doctor (Law Degree) from Western New England College in Springfield Mass. She was a social studies teacher at Plainville High School since 2002. She was loved and admired by countless students who she taught and mentored. She enjoyed the company of her family, as well as many friends. She was an avid reader and loved "girl movies." She loved to rock and cuddle every new baby that came into her life, most recently spending lots of time with Jackson Champagne. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and iPhone games. Her facebook posts always made her many friends laugh, drawing many responses. She also loved to travel, having gone to Japan in 2005 with Brian and Cindy, and Europe in 2007 with People to People. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Douglas Miller, of Enfield and her three sons, Brian, Kevin and Daniel; her mother, Sherrill Marshall Hitchings and her husband, Gerald, of Virginia Beach, Va.; her sister, Kelly Marshall Englehardt and her son, Sam, of Virginia Beach, Va.; her mother and father-in-law, Cindy and Jim Miller; of Enfield; her sister-in-law, Marlene Moranino and her children; David, Alexis, and Nicole; of Torrington and her "second family", Sara Boissonneault; of Huntington, Mass., Jeanne and Steve Champagne, Christopher, Natalie, and Jackson Champagne, of Enfield. The funeral was held March 22, 2012, at Browne's Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services were held at Holy Family Church, Enfield, on March 23, 2012. Interment followed in the Enfield Street Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations can be sent to The Miller Children Educational Fund, c/o The First National Bank of Suffield, P.O.
