JONES, Elizabeth (Gentle) - In her 81st year, of Thornhill passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 24, 2009. She was born in Brandon, Suffolk, England, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Gentle. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Margaret Gentle Harwood and brother-in-law Peter Harwood. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dennis and sons Richard (Heather) of Woodstock, Ontario and Phillip (Lisa) of Etobicoke. She was the much loved Gran of Kirsten, Lashbrook, Alexander and Cecilly. Elizabeth, Dennis and Richard immigrated to Canada in 1956 and made their home in Toronto. Elizabeth strongly believed in the power of prayer. She was a member of Emmanuel Anglican Church, Richvale, Mission GTA and was a coordinator with her husband Dennis of the Kneeling Army Prayer Network. The celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2010 at Willowdale Pentecostal Church, 288 Cummer Ave., North York. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the National House of Prayer (www.nhop.ca). A private interment will be held at a future date.
