JOHNSON, ELIZABETH A. "BETTY", 81Jacksonville Beach - Elizabeth A. "Betty" Johnson, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, 81, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died peacefully on November 29, 2012 of natural causes. Elizabeth was born in Ocala, FL on March 22, 1931. She lived her adult life in Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Emery and Jean Clance (Ponte Vedra Beach) and Dr. Keith and Jan Clance (Greensboro, NC). She is also survived by four grandchildren Allison Clance Volpe (Garland, TX), Kenneth Clance (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) and Ryan and Lauren Clance (Greensboro, NC). She was predeceased by her parents Florrie and Hugh Montgomery (Ocala, FL) and her husband Wilbur C. Johnson (Jacksonville). Visitation was held Sunday, December 2 from 1-2 pm with the service following at 2 pm at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach. Interment followed at Arlington Memorial Park, 6821 Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257, 904-268-5200. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, 904-249-2374.
