<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Elizabeth "Betty" Ann JonesElizabeth "Betty" Ann Jones, age 79, of Smyrna, TN passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013. A native of Beresford, SD she was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin "E.T." Lietzke M.D. and Wilma Tolbert Lietzke. A rosary will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at St. Luke Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 11:30AM at the church with Father Jacob Dio officiating. Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Barrett H. Jones Sr.; sons, Thomas Carson Jones and his wife Sandy of Jackson, TN; Noel Jones and his wife Sandra of Smyrna, TN; Barrett "Barry" Jones Jr. and his wife Colleen of Alpharetta, GA; Clayton Jones and his wife Kitty of Lenoir City, TN; and Ross Jones and his wife Sandra of Hermitage, TN; brother, Thomas Lietzke and his wife Lois of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Mary Flynn of Mankato, MN and Kathy Lietzke of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Bradley, Natalie, Sarah, Alex, Eric, Spencer, Olivia, Reagan, Kendall, and Trent; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Beresford High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Dakota. She was an English Teacher at Flandreau High School in South Dakota and served as a librarian at the University of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Jones served on the PTA with her son's schools and was a life-long proponent of education. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.Memorials can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018) or to the St. Luke Building Fund (10682 Old Nashville Hwy Smyrna, TN 37167.
