SchoolteacherLAKELAND -- Mrs. Elizabeth R. Jones of Lakeland died of congestive heart failure Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2005) at Lakeland Hills Center. She was 94.Born in Claxton, Ga., on Oct. 29, 1910, she came to Lakeland from Glennville, Ga., 50 years ago. She was a schoolteacher for the state of Georgia public schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland.Mrs. Jones is survived by her nieces, Barbara Griffis, Frannie Kendall, Cathy Hawridge, all of Lakeland, Margaret Durrance, Glennville, Mary Brandmaster, Rebecca Catherman, both of West Virginia, Becky Sochor, Ohio, Phyllis Hollingsworth, Jacksonville Beach, Dorothy Reed, Georgia. Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Seigler Funeral Home, Highway 60 E., Mulberry.
