Elizabeth J. 'Bettie' Carter LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP - Elizabeth J. "Bettie" Carter, 76, of Lawrence Township died Thursday at home, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Carter was born in Trenton and was the daughter of the late Ivans P. and Loretta Francis Camp. She resided in Lawrence Township and was formerly of Lower Macungie, PA. She will be fondly remembered as a loyal wife and wonderful mother. Bettie was an avid tennis and bridge player and enjoyed traveling with her family. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville and the Create and Relate group of the church. Predeceased by her husband, William R. Carter, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Eugene Moran of Allentown, PA; son, William Carter Jr. of Denver, CO; son and daughter-in-law, Bennett and Betsy Carter of Skaneateles, NY; brother, Jack Camp of Columbus, and her grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, Erin, William, Matthew, Briggs and Ivy. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the church for funeral services on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main St. (Route 206), Lawrenceville, with Jill Cifelli, associate pastor, officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave., Roebling. Interment will be in Christ Episcopal Cemetery, Bordentown.
