MANCHESTER - Elizabeth "Betty" Horton beloved wife of the late Earl Austin Horton passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2013, in Manchester, surrounded by family members. Born on June 22, 1921, in Cheshire, Mass., she was one of seven children of Dominick and Deliah Belini. Betty spent most of her life in Pittsfield, Mass., with Earl, her husband of 51 years where they raised two children, Thomas and Philip. Shortly after her husband Earl passed away in 2001 Betty moved to Bedford where she lived with her son Philip and his family, and more recently at the Bentley Commons Assisted Living Facility, in Bedford. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends at Bentley Commons. She also enjoyed her time with her extended circle of friends at the Manchester Easter Seals adult day program. Betty was a quiet person, who touched all of us with her remarkable compassion, kindness and concern for the people around her. . SERVICES: A funeral Mass was held at St. Mary's Church in Cheshire, Mass., on Nov. 16, followed by internment at the Cheshire Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Easter Seals of New Hampshire in memory of Betty, either online or via mail at Easter Seals of NH, Attn: Development Department, 555 Auburn Street, Manchester, 03103. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Bentley Commons Assisted Living Facility in Bedford.
