Elizabeth H. Gregory, age 77, of Skelton Road, Hoschton passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Landmark Hospital in Athens following an extended illness. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Prater will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Gregory was born June 5, 1932, in Peekskill, N.Y., to the late Charles Francis Minor and Eleanor Mildred Vanbansctochen Minor. She was a homemaker and was a member of The Assumption Church in Peekskill, N.Y. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her daughters, Katherine Ferguson of Alto and Betty Walker of New York; sons, Charles Minor of Gainesville, Vincent Walker, Joseph Walker and Lloyd Walker, all of New York, James Howard and Robert Howard, both of Hoschton and Michael Howard of Gainesville; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
