ELIZABETH FAULS (GRANNY) MANNING Elizabeth Fauls (Granny) Manning of Ithaca, NY passed away on January 4, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 23, 1921 in Ithaca she was one of seven children of James and Katherine Fauls. Betty was a devout catholic and life long parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. She was a 1935 graduate of Immaculate Conception School and 1939 graduate of Ithaca High School. Betty then began her 32 year career at the Tompkins County Trust Company. Proud of her Irish heritage, she enjoyed rooting for Notre Dame Sports. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, the NYS Lottery, any game of chance and cheering on her New York Yankees. Her greatest love of life was spending time and watching her great-grandchildren in their various activities. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Manning, brothers Leo and Donald Fauls, sister Patricia Fauls, brother-in-laws, Stan Filarski and John Salko. She is survived by her loving son, James Fauls Manning and daughter-in-law Barbara J. Manning, grandchildren Michael (Tammy) Manning and Christine (Robert) Atwood, great-grandchildren Sean, Connor and Mackenzie Manning, Casey James and Kendall Atwood, sisters Mary Filarski, Jean (Fred) Seither and Rosalie Salko. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Leo Reinhardt officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School.
