<!-- FH = Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown -->Elizabeth Jackson Esposito, widow of Joseph Anthony Esposito died Sunday, October 10, 2010. Born in Bardolph, IL, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Ethil Gardner Jackson.Elizabeth served in World War II in the Women's Army Corp and earned the Meritorious Service Unit Insignia, WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. She was very active in the Daughters of the American Revolution for over 60 years, and served as the Behethland Butler Chapter Regent, the South Carolina State Society Regent and as the NSDAR Vice President GeneralShe was a homemaker and attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Michael Esposito and wife, Sue, and Robert Esposito; four daughters, Katherine Esposito, Jane Rowan and husband, Bruce, Mary Esposito, and Susanne Wiedemann and husband, Gunter; grandchildren, Michelle, Mike, Mickey, Mike, Zach, Sarah, Phoebe, Ben, Molly, Carie, Amy, J.J. Mary Margaret, Stephanie, Jake, Eliza and Katie; and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn E. Rogers; and a grandson, David Gretz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic School Building Fund, 309 Gower St., Greenville, SC 29611 or Tamassee DAR School, P O Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.The family will receive guests for a celebration of her life at the residence following the burial.Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.thomasmcafee.com.
