Elizabeth Diane Lee MAYO, SC-- Mrs. Elizabeth Diane Lee, 59, of 4305 Chesnee Highway, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She lost her battle to cancer, that she suffered the past year, but, she fought a strong and good fight. She was the wife of Phil Lee of the residence and the daughter of the late Roy J. Godfrey and Annie Brank Godfrey. She was a member of Mayo First Baptist Church and was a native of Spartanburg County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle Lee of Mayo; one brother, Jimmy Godfrey of Woodruff, SC; three sisters, Joann Westmoreland and Kathy Thompson, both of Woodruff, and Patsy Holbrook of Mayo; and also by five very special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2009 at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Chesnee, officiated by the Rev. Tom Baker, Rev. Larry Fleming and Rev. Jim Carter. The family will receive friends Monday, September 14, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
