Elizabeth DavisFormerly of Johnson CityElizabeth Davis, 89, passed away peacefully Monday, May 15, 2006, at the Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, Merritt Davis in 1973. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Janet Davis, Richmond, Va., Jay and Susan Davis, Keahenkson, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Tara, Amy and Peter. She was a charter member of the Sarah Jane Johnson United Methodist Church where she was active in the Sunday School and the Mary Martha Class. She was formerly employed at the tax office for the Village of Johnson City.Funeral and committal services will be held Thursday at 12 noon at the Barber Memorial Home Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home Inc. on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Donations in her memory may be made to her church.
