COX, Elizabeth Monica (Betsy) A happy, generous and loving spirit has set sail; Betsy died at 2:05 pm on Friday November 16th at Central Care Home in Victoria, just one month before her 89th birthday. In spite of failing sight and mobility, Betsy lived life to the full, with keen interest and enthusiasm and a perpetual knack for finding the funny side to everything ... and she was still singing everywhere she went! Loved and enjoyed by all who knew her, including her son Ian, daughter Lucinde, grandchildren Chris, Jenni, Ashley and Danny and great grandson Kyler, she will be much missed by a wide circle of family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Church of St. George the Martyr on Thursday, November 22nd, at 2 pm, with a reception to follow in the upstairs lounge of The Orchard, adjoining the church. If wished, donations can be made in her name to the David Suzuki Foundation, CNIB, or to the "talking books" service run by the Public Library. 426277
