Elizabeth Thompson 1937-2013 REXTON, NB - Betty Thompson 76, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Sunday, July 7, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Born in New Waterford, Cape Breton she was the daughter of the late Mary Carrigan. Betty was employed at Thompson's Funeral Home in the office for many years. She attended Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton. Betty was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a special Nana to many, known for her kindness, caring for others and sense of humor. Betty will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Tanya Hannay (Ross) of Indian Island, Gail Thompson (Todd) of Galloway, Shelley Savoy (Daryl) of Rexton, her pride and joy; Troy Thompson (Tammy) of Mundleville, her grandchildren; Courtney, Tyler, Elizabeth, Paula, Tashina, Micheal, four great grandchildren; Tyra, Trina, Brayden, Brooke, her special sister; Ag McGillvary and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Betty was predeceased by her husband; Mel and her mother; Mary. Resting at Thompson`s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 am, Thompson`s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto. In lieu of flowers donations in Betty`s memory may be made to the charity of the donor`s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
