Elizabeth Calhoun Williams, 93, passed away on July 2, 2006, at Coral Landing in St. Augustine.Annie Elizabeth Nordan was born June 28, 1913, and grew up in Headland, Ala. Elizabeth married Mr. Calhoun and together they moved to St. Augustine in 1947 and raised their son and daughter. She earned her nursing degree, worked as an RN at the East Coast Hospital for many years and later retired from the old Flagler Hospital as a nursing supervisor.Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of Ancient City Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and actively participated with the Keenagers.She is survived by her daughter, Louise (Jimmy) Meade; her son, Edward "Eddie" (Carolyn) Calhoun; both of St. Augustine; six grandchildren: Beth (Jim) Masters, Cherryl (Mike) Ruble, Lynn (Mike) McGowan, Jamie ( Ryan) Fix, Nancy (Tony) Cubbedge and Bo (Deborah) Meade; 12 great-grandchildren and several very special nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by Mr. A.S. Calhoun and Mr. Leonard Williams.Visitation will be held tonight from 5-7 at Craig Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Ancient City Baptist Church with the Rev. David Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Ancient City Baptist Church at 27 Sevilla St, St. Augustine, FL 32084, or Community Hospice of NE Florida at 5266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.Craig Funeral Home is serving the Williams family.PAID NOTICE
