Elizabeth Cromwell Phillips, 98, died Nov. 20, 2002, in Florence, Ala.Born July 18, 1904, she was a native and lifelong resident of Florence.She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard P. Phillips; sister, Geraldine C. Snow; brother, Col. W.H. Cromwell Jr.Mrs. Phillips is survived by nieces, Joyce and husband, Sam Ruth, of Wilson, N.C., and Ann C. Horn of Phenix City, Ala. She is also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews, Dianne and husband, Rick Martin, of Florence, Wayne and wife, Martha Barley, of Hillsboro, Mo., Linda and husband, James Ray, of Florence, Mark and wife, Tina Barley, of Millbrook, and Thomas and wife, Lisa Horn, of Columbus, Ga.She is also survived by several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.Graveside services will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. in Florence City Cemetery.
