Age 89, of South Windsor, CT, widow of Thomas Jr. Burke Sr., died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at St. Mary's Home, West Hartford, CT; born on August 20, 1913, daughter of the late Julius and Mary (Hegyes) Boda; mother of Thomas Jr. Burke Jr. of South Windsor, Eileen Burke Sherman (Leslie) of Concord, NH; grandmother of Carrie (Robert) Enzerra, Brittany (Michael) Rieser and Molly Burke; great-grandmother of Emily, Carlie, Halie and Madalyne. Family and friends may gather Monday, 8:30 AM at the SAMSEL & CARMON FUNERAL HOME, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will be private. Family will receive friends Sunday, 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Burke lived in Buffalo for most of her life before moving to South Windsor 10 years ago. Before retiring, she was the office manager for Bliss and Laughlin. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church.
