Elizabeth Betty Wheeler SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Elizabeth Betty Wheeler, of 959 Zimmerman Lake Road, was called home to eternal rest on Monday, October 18, 2010. A native of Spartanburg County, she was born on May 8, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Solomon Walker and the late Addy Vance Walker and wife of the late Willie H. Wheeler. She was a member of Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church. Survivors include three daughters, Debra Porter of the home, Earline Edwards and Dorothy Wheeler, both of Spartanburg, SC; three sons, Marshall (Shirley) Wheeler of Buffalo, SC, Willie (Janet) Wheeler of Spartanburg, SC, and Johnny Wheeler of Spartanburg, SC; four sisters, Peggy Wheeler of the home, Catherine Campbell and Shirley Walker, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Lula Shands of Moore, SC; two brothers, Willie Walker of Spartanburg, SC, and Floyd (Elizabeth) Walker of Moore, SC; a sister-in-law, Cora B. (Oneere) Dawkins of Spartanburg, SC. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Walker and Perry Walker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Chestnut Ridge AME Zion Church in Pauline, SC, with burial in the church cemetery.
