Obituary of Elizabeth-B. Hansen


Hansen, Elizabeth B. MORRISTON, Fla. Elizabeth B. Hansen, 90, of Morriston, formerly of Bolton Landing, N.Y., passed into eternal life Tuesday morning, November 6, 2007, after a short illness. Born in Albany, N.Y., the daughter of the late Harry and Lulu Bailey. Betty was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Bolton Landing for 40 years. She was an avid bridge player, former bowler, and a member of both the Bolton Book Club and the Lake George BPW. Her gift of hospitality shown through in all she did for her family, friends and church to the patrons of Chelka Lodge on Lake George, that she and her husband built and ran for many years. She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Bailey on June 30, 1969. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Christian W. Hansen and her daughter, Karen Willard with husband Roy, all of Morriston, formerly of Bolton Landing; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. Memorial services will be held in Bolton Landing at a later date. The family has requested that memorial donation be made to the United Methodist Church of Bolton Landing, NY 12814 or to the Haven Hospice House, 311 NE 9th St., Chiefland, FL 32626. Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.
