JONES, Elizabeth Anne "Betty" (nee Macleod) January 10, 1929 - April 20, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Betty at the age of 88, after a brief illness. Predeceased by her dear husband, Victor, to whom she was married for nearly half a century, and her beloved son Matthew. Survived by her son Griffin and daughter Roberta; she is also survived by three grandchildren, Marissa, Celine and Rick; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Betty enjoyed a lifelong appreciation of art. Vancouver born, she attended Point Grey High School, Vancouver School of Art and studied Textile Surface Design at Capilano College. Always an avid reader, she could often be spotted in West Vancouver or Capilano Library searching for her next great read. After they married, Betty and Vic would often jaunt down to Seattle for live jazz. In her later years, Betty tended the best container gardens in Pemberton Heights, overseen by Minnie and Bill, her two loving feline companions. We will all miss Betty''s sense of humour, incredible wisdom and her positive outlook on life. Trivial Pursuit will never be the same without Betty''s anchoring presence on the winning team.
