Elizabeth Ann Mack, 83, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010, at her home on Davis Terrace, the same street where she was born. Elizabeth was educated in Schenectady and worked for the Schenectady City School District. She was a member of the St. Paul's Seniors and also the Red Hat Society. Elizabeth also volunteered at the Annie Schaffer Senior Center. She especially enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, and taking care of her family and friends. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Mack (Wayne Knapp) of Guilderland; three grandchildren, Stacey Mack, Alexander and Andrew Knapp; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Alexander Babin of Schenectady, along with many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is also survived by her lifelong friend of 75 years, Dee Maney. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Mack; her son, Guy Mack; her brother, George Babin, and her sister, Patricia Teta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady. A reception will follow at the parish center. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery. It was Elizabeth's request that flowers not be sent, and contributions be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
