Elizabeth-Ann Eaton, born in 1938, spouse of Paul-A. Eaton, daughter of Anson and Alice, mother of Barbara and Kevin, died on February 12, 2014 at 75 years old.
->BANGOR and EXETER - Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Eaton, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours, Feb. 12, 2014, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born March 1, 1938, in Cambridge, to Anson and Alice (Weeman) Crowell.Liz was a hard-working woman all her life. She was employed for many years at Dexter Shoe and then at Eastland Woolen Mill. She especially looked forward to the time spent working on the potato harvester for Buck's Potato Farm in Corinna. She was thought of fondly and became friends with many of her co-workers and bosses alike.Her ambition and determination was endless. When she wanted something done, she found a way to do it. She would refinish the kitchen table to give it a fresh look, reupholster the living room furniture instead of buying new and sew country curtains by hand adding a little more love with each stitch. She had an amazing talent for writing poetry always expressing her love for home and family.Liz will always be remembered for her quick wit, and amazing sense of humor. Wherever she was, there would be uncontrollable laughter. Her personality was one that would make a stranger feel like a long lost friend. She will forever live in her family's memories.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Eaton whom she married in 1957; sisters, Patricia (Southard) Cooley, and Florence (Southard) DeGiesto; brothers, Ellwin Southard, Ralph Southard, and Glendon Southard.She is survived by her two children, Kevin Paul and his wife, Barbara (Metivier) Eaton, and Lori-Ann (Eaton) Erickson; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Eaton) Stedman and husband, Joel, Dennis Eaton, Paul Downing, and Sarah (Downing) Bates and husband, Ivan Sr.; sisters, Alice (Crowell) Caldwell and companion, Brad Hall Sr., Eleanor (Southard) Hughs, and Noreen (Southard) Catlin; brothers, Anson "Buster" Crowell and wife and special sister-in-law, Leisa, and Robert Southard; great-grandchildren, Hannah Stedman, and Ivan, Alex and Aiden Bates; and many special nieces and nephews.There will be a private graveside burial later this spring.
