Eleanor Rita Johnsonof Billerica, MA BILLERICA, MA -- Mrs. Eleanor Rita Johnson, of Billerica, MA, died Tuesday night, August 9, 2011, at Lowell General Hospital.She was married to the late Mr. C. Philip Johnson who died October 29, 2009.Eleanor was born in Lowell, MA on February 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Daniel and Ellen (Mahoney) Twomey of MA. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1937.Prior to her retirement, Eleanor was employed with the Bedford VA Hospital as a secretary.Eleanor was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church in North Billerica, MA. She was a member of the St. Andrew's Sodality.Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family.She is survived by two sons, Carl Johnson and his wife, Wanda of Hudson, NH, and Kenneth Johnson and his wife, Pamela of Tyngsboro, MA; a daughter, Carol Johnson O'Neill of Westford, MA; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.JOHNSON -- Eleanor Rita Johnson, of Billerica, MA, died August 9, 2011. Visiting hours will be Fri. 4 to 7 PM. Funeral Sat. at 8 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford. Burial in Edson Cemetery, Lowell.
