TUSCALOOSA Eleanor Pauline Otilia Wallin Peters, age 93, of Tuscaloosa, died Sept. 25, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Walker Memory Gardens with Rev. Vial Fontenot officiating and nephew Mark Huett providing music. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home of Jasper is in charge of arrangements.She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Peters; her sister, Esther Fowler; her grandson, David Mark Hodgson; and her parents, Dan Wallin and Elvina Jensen Wallin.Survivors include her daughter, Susan Peters Hodgson of Tuscaloosa; her son-in-law, George Hodgson; her grandchildren, Peter Hodgson of Northport, Debbie Mayhew and husband Rick of Silver Springs, Md., Tabitha Cromer and husband Andy of San Marcos, Calif., and Elena Hodgson of Northport; and her great-grandchildren, David Hodgson, Nathan Hodgson, and Olivia Cromer.She was born Aug. 22, 1919. She earned her R.N. degree from Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida in May 1940. She married Darwin Peters on April 5, 1941, in West Palm Beach, Florida. She traveled with her husband to many various countries during his Army service. She served as treasurer of her church in Augusta, Georgia for 20 years, then moved to Tuscaloosa in 2001.
