HALFYARD, Eleanor Marie - Peacefully, after a courageous battle, at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, June 26, 2009, Eleanor (nee Dorey) of Paris in her 57th year; Beloved wife of Peter; Loving mother of Sarah and her husband Chris Lamb and Laura; Dear daughter of Donald and the late Jean Dorey; Cherished sister of Leslie Dorey and Jim and his wife Terri Dorey; Predeceased by infant sister Marlene. Eleanor will be sadly missed by lifelong friends Brenda and John Kerr and her many other friends and family. During her teaching career, Eleanor taught at Princess Elizabeth School in Brantford, Paris High School and Coronation School in Burford. Friends will be received at the KEITH OVINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 134 King Street, Burford on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to the Adult Recreation Therapy Centre in Brantford or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
