JAFFREY -- Eleanor L. Flynn, 103, died July 16, 2009, at Good Shepherd Healthcare Center after a long and full life. She was born Oct. 23, 1905, in Dublin, to Samuel and Rebecca (Gagne) Pellerin. She attended local schools. She married Paul L. Flynn of Peterborough, who died in 1952. She was a telephone operator in Dublin for more than 20 years and also worked at Pratt and Whitney in Hartford, Conn., during World War II. Later she worked for New Hampshire Ball Bearing and for Honeywell Electropac until retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Dublin Women's Club and worked as a caretaker for many families in the Dublin area. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey and belonged to the former Ste. Anne Society. She was a frequent visitor of the Basilica of St. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec City and St. Joseph Oratory of Mount Royal in Montreal, Canada. She moved to Jaffrey in 1960 to live with her sister Eva and brother-in-law Ralph Chamberlain, and proudly continued to live there independently until 2004. IN HER LIFE: She is survived by three nephews, Francis "Mickey" Chamberlain of Jaffrey, Richard Metevier of Greenfield and William Pellerin of Florida; two nieces, Elaine Durkee of Marlboro, Mass., and Lucille McDonald of Dublin; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St., (Route 202) Jaffrey. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., immediately following calling hours, at Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main St., Jaffrey. The Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Bennington.
