Eleanor G. (Wright) Johnsonlifelong resident of Ashby; 90 ASHBY -- Eleanor G. (Wright) Johnson, 90 died Monday, February 24, 2014 in The Highlands, Fitchburg. Eleanor was born in Ashby on June 28, 1923 daughter of Eugene and Edith (Scott) Wright. Her husband John Johnson died on April 15, 2002. They were married on June 15, 1946. Eleanor leaves two daughters; Janice Lee Wiita of Ashby and Dona Ann Goble of Matthews N.C., a granddaughter Christine (Gagne) Doody of Ashby and two great-grandsons; Cameron and Carson Doody of Ashby.Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Ashby, where she attended Ashby High School, was a member of the Ashby Congregational Church and a member of the Holmes-Curran-Bennett American Legion Auxiliary. She was devoted to her husband and family, loved her granddaughter and great-grandsons. She and her husband had been fond of Ballroom music and dancing.JOHNSON -- A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28th at 11:00am in the Ashby Congregational Church, New Ipswich Rd., Ashby, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ashby Congregational Church. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
