Foley, Eleanor (Torncello) VERO BEACH, Fla. Eleanor Torncello Foley, 85, of Vero Beach, and formerly of Latham, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach. She was the devoted wife of the late William J. Foley who died in 2004. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., daughter of the late David and Mary Ament Torncello, she resided in Latham for 40 years before moving to Vero Beach in 1997. Eleanor was a graduate of Water-vliet High School, class of 1942 and graduated from the Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She had been employed by Samaritan Hospital in the late 40s and then enjoyed being a homemaker while raising her seven children. She was a former communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham and a former member of the VanSchaick Country Club in Cohoes. She is survived by her loving children, Christine (Rod) Her-mance of Pawleys Island, S.C., Tim (Lauren Becker) Foley of Naples, Fla., Bill (late Kathy) Foley of Lexington, Ky., Bob Foley of Vero Beach, Dan (Lori) Foley of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Tom Foley of Dallas, Texas and John (Jennifer) Foley of Dallas; her brother, David (Julie) Torncello of Watervliet. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, one niece and two nephews. Funeral from the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Friday at 10:15 a.m. thence to St. Ambrose Church, Latham, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be beside her husband in the Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
