Eleanor Carter, 85, of St. Augustine Beach, Fla. and member of First Baptist Church Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Flagler Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman G. Carter, Master Sgt. (retired), and by father Judge John Oliver Havird and mother Myrtis E. Cook, Mr. Havird was Judge and attorney in Newberry, S.C.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St. Augustine, Fla., with Pastor Steve McCoullom officiating, and burial at 4 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home.She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Richard) Waddell, sons Ted (Sandra) Carter, Pete (Kay) Carter, all of Jacksonville, and six grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.All of her life she was an active participant in her children's and grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives; her caring and loving ways will be missed by all her friends in Jacksonville and St. Augustine -- most of all, her beautiful smile.Craig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.PAID NOTICEPlease sign the guestbook at www.staugustine.com
