Eleanor Cox, born in 1924, spouse of Richard-J. Cox, daughter of Ralph and Ethel, mother of Sheri, Fl, Ellie, Il and Maril, died on May 24, 2014 at 90 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
COX, Eleanor Belyea, 90, passed away May 24, 2014, at home supported by her loving family and the LifePath Hospice Ruby Team. She was born in Arlington, MA and grew up in Belmont, MA, the only daughter of Ralph and Ethel Belyea. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Cox. Mrs. Cox was a member of St. Chad's Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry and as a member of the Episcopal Church Women group. She was always lending a helping hand at the church and elsewhere. She just couldn't or wouldn't say "no"! She was also a member of the Tampa Bay Area Women's Club. Mrs. Cox attended the University of Washington in Seattle and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Mrs. Cox was employed for more than sixty years. After moving to Tampa in 1978, she was employed as purchasing manager at Liquidometer. Later, she was the Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Pool and Spa Institute and the Florida Spa and Pool Association from 1987 to 2007. She is survived by three daughters: Sheri Brindle (Paul) of Sanford, FL; Ellie Anderson of Chicago; IL.; and Maril Martinez (Augie) of Tampa. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Chris Brindle (Michele) of Poway, CA; Damon Brindle (Cindy) of Hermersberg, Germany; and Jennifer Perillo (Rich) of Tampa; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Xan, Zach, Cam, Keira, Corali, Jolie and Avery. A memorial service will be held at St. Chad's Episcopal Church, 5609 N. Albany Ave, Tampa, FL 33603, on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Eleanor will be interred at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Chad's Episcopal Church; Meals on Wheels of Tampa, 550 W. Hillsboro Ave, Tampa, 33603; or LifePath Hospice, Development, 12470 Telecom Dr., Ste 300W, Temple Terrace, FL 33637 would be truly appreciated.
