JOHNSONEleanor C. O'Leary, 89 of Brick, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Born in Maspeth (Queens), NY, she went on to proudly serve her country in the US Navy during World War II. Eleanor was married to the late Norman S. Johnson with whom she raised their three wonderful children in New Milford, NJ. Eleanor worked as the Secretary for Potter's Industries in Saddle Brook, NJ for over 40 years. While in Brick, she was involved in the Brick Kiwanis Club and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Her spirit was infectious and her love was true. She will be missed. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1980. She leaves her son Christopher and his wife Maureen of New Milford; daughter Judith L. Johnson of Waretown; daughter Janice and her husband Detlef Panzer of Mission Viejo, CA; brother Richard O'Leary of Saugerties, NY; sisters Mary Burke of Brick, NJ and Eileen Brenkert of FL; beloved grandchildren Jeffrey, Eric, Melissa, and Kevin; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1-5 PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 12 Noon at the funeral home, followed by burial at NJ Veterans' Cemetery in Wrightstown.
