-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Henry, Elaine S.Groton: Elaine S. Henry, 72, of Sovocool Hill Road, Groton, died January 28, 2015 at Cortland Park Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Born August 13, 1942 in Cortland, NY she was the daughter of the late Henry T. and Daisy Mae Barber Sovocool. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the Peruville New Testament Church and had spent her life providing childcare to many families in the area. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George E. Henry; her sons, Kevin and Martin (Gretchen) Henry, both of Groton; her siblings, Ronald (Laura) Sovocool of Groton and Letha (Kenneth) Henry of Charleston, SC; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Peruville New Testament Church of Groton. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Church and 10-11:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Spring interment will be in the Groton Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peruville New Testament Church. Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton has care of arrangements.
