Elaine June Lee, 80, of West Frankfort passed away at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Herrin Hospital. She was born March 5, 1931 in Freeman Spur, Franklin County IL. to Joseph Marcinak and Czeslawa (Nowotka) Marcinak. She married Carl Henry Lee on August 15, 1953 in Chicago. Survivors include her husband, Carl H. Lee of West Frankfort, IL.; two sons, Mark and Sally Lee of Los Angeles, CA. and Chuck and Mindy Lee of Atlanta, GA.; a daughter, Cindy and Mike Heidorn of Modesto, CA.; six granddaughters, three grandsons and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. She was a very faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in West Frankfort. She worked many years as a bookkeeper for Special Mine Services in West Frankfort. She was a loving, kind and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her wonderful sense of humor and her love of cooking brought joy to all who knew her. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 17947 Route 37 West Frankfort with Bishop Scott Joiner officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ Missionary Fund and will be accepted at the church.
