Harris, Elaine H.Jan. 6, 1926 - June 27, 2007Elaine H. Harris, 81, Osprey, died June 27, 2007.Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William; a son, Steven; a daughter, Janet; granddaughter Michele; grandson John; and great-grandchildren Jacob and Jonathan.Elaine was born in Long Island, N.Y., in 1926 and moved to Sarasota in 1949. She was very active in the community and proud to work as a volunteer at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for over 20 years, where she received her coveted 5000 hour pin.She was a member of the Eastern Stars from the age of 18 and Lady's Oriental Shrine where she served as Grand High in 1979.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be made in Elaine's name to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
