Elaine F. Richard EAST BRIDGEWATER Elaine F. Richard (VanBuskirk), of East Bridgewater, died Nov. 12, 2009, in her home. She was 55. Elaine was born in Winthrop, daughter of the late Hazel G. (Swan) and Gordon A. VanBuskirk. Mrs. Richard graduated from Winthrop High School and Burdette College in Boston. She last worked for the Gordon W. Mitchell Middle School in East Bridgewater as a teachers assistant and had made her home in East Bridgewater since 1979. She was the wife of James J. Richard of East Bridgewater; mother of Christopher J. Richard of East Bridgewater and his fiancee Carlie White and Amanda A. Richard of East Bridgewater; sister of Sharon Camelia of North Reading, Arthur W. VanBuskirk of Lynn, David B. VanBuskirk of North Andover and the late Gordon A. VanBuskirk Jr.; grandmother of Alysha A. Guthrie. Funeral service in the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday, 5-8 p.m. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for pancreatic cancer research, 10 Brookline Place, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
